CertainTeed, a leading manufacturer of insulation, was experiencing six week belt life due to tracking problems with the screen on its oven. The Texas-based company also had no way to splice in a section of screen when it needed repairing; the entire screen had to be replaced, at great expense. Cambridge performed an on-site evaluation and determined that a Maryland Wire Belt Precision Self Tracking mesh and sprocket system would eliminate CertainTeed's tracking and wear problems. Our service technicians performed a custom installation of the system, and four months later, it is running successfully and tracking perfectly. In fact, there have been no tracking-related interruptions since installation of the Precision system. The new belt and sprocket system has more than paid for itself AND the company now has the ability to splice into the belt and replace small sections as required.
